Identity Theft!

Apparently back on 2003, someone with my name and social security number opened an account at chase bank online. They received papers in the mail, signed them and then sent them back to the bank. 8 years later I go and deposit money into my chase account and my lovely bank decides to withdraw 600 dollars and credit it to this account because it is overdrawn. Needless to say I had no idea this had happened until I went to the store and my card was denied. It is now under investigation and can take up to 6 months before I can get any of my money back! They literally took our last 600 dollars we had in the bank. So just remember to be careful!! If someone would have stolen my debit/credit card this would have been resolved already. But when someone actually uses your social and copies your signature, you're screwed until a complete investigation has occurred. It looks like I'm going to have to change my social as well. After all this went down last week, I took a peek at my credit report and VOILA!! There was like 10 different versions of my name and addresses I have NEVER lived at! Being poor sucks already! It sucks even worse when someone steals ALL your money!

My Favorite Geeky Crafts

For those of you that don't already know, I am a huge geeky crafty person. I have made so many different Amigurumi dolls for my kids that I should open a store! Upon searching the web for some cool ideas I found this Companion Cube. Now if you know anything about crocheting then this is the project for you.

I have found the directions on how to make this so you might want to stop reading now, head out to Walmart and get yourself some yarn and a crochet hook! I know I would be there if some crazy person didnt steal my Identity and make off with my last $600 bucks! *Shakes Fist* But anyways here are the directions and enjoy!

Companion Cube Pattern

Size G hook throughout entire pattern.

Dark Gray/Gray Brown (taupe): 20-24 oz.

--Join single corner pieces to double corner pieces. Long side of double corner piece to both long sides (long sides=sides without DEC). Use pictures as reference; resembles a pyramid.
--Join background pieces (sides) to form cube. Orient hearts as desired or according to reference. Fill with polyfil before finishing off; do not over stuff.
--Center middle pieces on cube and join. Use polyfil to add dimension before finishing off.
--Align single corner piece on cube and join single piece only (stitch the entire perimeter of the single corner). Use polyfil to add dimension before finishing off.
--Fold down double corner piece and join to cube. Use polyfil to add dimension before finishing off.

NOTES:
--It is not necessary to weave in the ends; all ends can be hidden within the pieces of the cube or the cube itself.
--When joining pieces, you may (probably will) need to stretch and shape the pieces to get the desired look.
--Do not over stuff with polyfil; if more polyfil is needed even after finishing off, carefully add through dc. If more polyfil is needed a pencil or chopstick is useful for adding polyfil between dc.
--When joining background pieces or sides, attaching middle pieces, heart/circle, and corners, ridges are a good reference point for alignment.
--Good luck and be patient, the final product will be well worth it!

New Year and New changes

Today I decided that I really need to start making some changes in my life. First of all I just want you all to know that I HATE New Years resolutions. I think its just a cheap way to say you plan on doing something then letting yourself down in a few weeks time. I like to make daily affirmations to keep myself on track! Anyways, The first thing that I want to change is my exercise! I plan on doing Your Shape Fitness at least two times a week. I know I should do it more than that but I have to set my limits low to start. If I say three or four times a week, then I'll fail one week and just give up!! The next thing I am planning on changing is my blog. I haven't really been keeping up with it and now that I have my own laptop and more time, I really plan on getting back into the swing of things.

I'd really love it if you guys would give me some topics that you'd like to hear about and of course I will probably have a lot of boring rambling sessions! I apologize in advance for those random blogs lol. I am also asking for you to put the word out there that this is up and running again and hopefully I can get some actual followers on this thing!! <3 you all XOXO
